Producing positive energy together

We are a Canadian company focused on the production of liquids-rich natural gas in the Montney region of Northeastern British Columbia.

Providing Canadian natural gas to the world

Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, with an office in Fort St. John, B.C., we produce responsibly sourced natural gas, in order to supply the energy the world needs.

We are strategically positioned to supply Canadian natural gas to Woodfibre LNG, a low-carbon LNG export facility in Squamish, B.C, currently in the construction phase. We will supply the facility with natural gas to be liquefied, loaded onto vessels and shipped to global markets. Through this integration, we ensure that hydrocarbons produced in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin can meet the world’s growing demand for energy.

Our footprint is small, but our positive impact is significant

We are uniquely positioned for responsible production – we own all field infrastructure, including roads, camps, processing plants, gathering pipelines, and water handling assets.

  • Our entire field is water-pipeline connected. In 2023, 550,000 m³ of water flowed through the pipelines, eliminating the need for 11,900+ water trucks.
  • Our centralized water recycling facility allows us to reuse 100% of produced water.

We are focused on emissions intensity reduction

  • The Altares Processing Facility includes a waste heat recycling system and vapour recovery units, with the latest phase incorporating some of the industry’s most environmentally efficient engines.
  • We have upgraded pump technology to reduce emissions during completion activities.
  • We have taken action to displace our reliance on diesel as fuel across our operations.

We use innovative technology to minimize our land impact

We reduce our land footprint through techniques such as:

  • Subsurface horizontal wells that can reach greater than five kilometres in lateral length.
  • A multi-well pad development plan to reduce the number of pads and pipelines required.

We are Equitable Origin Certified

We are the second natural gas producer in North America to obtain EO100™ Certification for Responsible Energy Development, recognizing our quality operations relative to global Environmental and Social performance standards.
