Community

Industry leaders like Pacific Canbriam Energy are making great strides in helping to build healthier communities. We do this by engaging early and engaging often with our stakeholders, and by helping to build healthier communities through the support of training and education initiatives. At the end of the day, what’s important to our local and Indigenous communities is important to the company.

Listening to the Community

Pacific Canbriam Energy is a contributing member of the communities in which we operate. Maintaining open dialogue with our community partners is a cornerstone of our company philosophy.

Collaboration and teamwork are important to our success, and these values extend to the communities in which we operate. We take every opportunity to actively participate in community events and initiatives, contributing both financial and human resources. Our social investment priorities are on community, education, and the environment.

Pacific Canbriam has been a longtime supporter of Impact Society through their Heroes Program and the various youth initiatives whose focus is the Indigenous communities where Pacific Canbriam operates. For more information on Impact Society go to impactsociety.com

Contributing to the Community

The natural gas industry has been a driver of many educational and training initiatives in northeastern B.C. Identifying opportunities for education and training is part of ensuring long-term, sustainable development. Pacific Canbriam, with other industry partners operating in the Montney region, has taken part in Indigenous operator training initiatives, joint venture partnership job training, as well as providing scholarship opportunities at Northern Lights College in Dawson Creek, Fort St. John, and Chetwynd, B.C. Competency training initiatives ensure that the Indigenous communities develop the skills to compete and participate economically in development projects.

In addition to training and employment opportunities, Pacific Canbriam proactively strives to create environmental and cultural alignment within the communities where we work, through continued transparency and open dialogue. We strongly believe this is just good business practice.

Developing a local skilled workforce, creating alignment of interests both culturally and economically, reducing transient labour needs and participating in active partnership with local communities is part of running any quality business and is standard practice for Pacific Canbriam. This type of active partnership creates win-win outcomes for both the company and the communities in which we operate.
